About 70 per cent of the white blood cells are phagocytes. They are part of the body’s immune system, but they do not produce antibodies. Instead, they ingest and destroy pathogens such as bacteria. In one of the Experimental Treatment Packs the player will be able to extract some and genetically alter them to create Super Phagocytes and reinject them.

This unknown pathogen appears to manifest when the plagues bio energy reaches a critical point and weaves itself throughout the bodies tissue, it is incredibly hard to fight and remove, with amputation of the affected tissue currently the only known treatment that works.

A basic infection agent of the plague that acts as a hard point to control cellular territory, the player should use its phagocytes to destroy these as soon as possible.

A deadly and inconvenient range of plague agent are Prions. They rip apart nerves that not only threatens the patient but also significantly reduces communication and visibility within the body. Luckily in the Far Future Medical Technology Pack there are both nerve regenerators and artificial neurons.
